Broadcom 802.11g network adapter not working by default on Ubuntu 12.04

If you’ve recently upgraded or installed a fresh copy of Ubuntu 12.04, you might have run into problems with your wireless card.

I was using an old laptop with a broadcom network adapter when I encountered the issue. Turns out I just have to install bcmwl-kernel-source, so using apt, I just ran:
